I am the boy tied to a fence, beaten to a bloody pulp and left to die because two straight men wanted to "teach me a lesson."
This is the boy, Matthew Shepard. On October 7, 1998 Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson lead him to a remote area east of Laramie where they demonstrated unimaginable acts of brutality . Matthew was tied to a split-rail fence where he was beaten and left to die in the cold of the night. Almost 18 hours later he was found by a cyclist who initially mistook him for a scarecrow. Matthew died on October 12 at 12:53 am at a hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. MURDERED BECAUSE HE WAS GAY!!!

I have no story, but I feel I must post this. This kind of stuff is bullshit no matter how you look at it. If I had kids, I wouldn't raise them, and for a boy make him a football player, or a girl a cheerleader. That's just the kind of disguisting people who do shit like this. They can be whatever the hell they want to. If my boy wants to do dancing, gymnastics, or even on the cheerleading squad himself, then fine. Or my girl as a sports player, of ANY kind. I played sports, myself: 8 years of baseball, 2 softball, 2 basketball, and 2 soccer. I have gay and bi friends, and I don't care. I playfull tease, but because I feel guilty a second later, even if they KNOW I'm teasing, I apologize. Same for color, or religion. They're multicolored, and multireligion. But neither of us care which the other is.
Just...in full circle, please don't do any of that crap. It's pure bullshit. Never judge anyone but color, race, creed, gender, sexuality, etc. Not for WHAT they are, but for WHO they are. They're usually really nice people...
